In response to Dan and George's recent comments about Sunny's future, I'm sorry to say our plans are indefinite. I thought we would have lots of book store signings lined up by now, and Sing or Cry would be everywhere. But there is one undeniable fact of publishing, even though the reviews were great, and reader comments wonderful, poetry is a hard sell.
We also thought there was a great human interest story in how Sunny's Twenty Flight Rock enabled Paul McCartney to join the Beatles. We've tried repeatedly to contact Paul and even Oprah Winfrey, all to no avail. They keep themselves so well insulated from their fans, it's nearly impossible for some unknown person to reach them, but we haven't given up.
In the meantime, we try to take advantage of every opportunity to promote the book and Sunny. But that too is a challenge. Sunny is no longer the young, energetic person of yesteryear. She stills loves to perform, but doesn't have the stamina to keep it up for extended periods of time.
And sister Tina? She's Sunny's strongest supporter and doing well. I'll keep you posted. And do make comments on the blog site. Sunny enjoys reading them.
Let me know if I can help her in any way. From what you have said in her biography and all, her menfolks are far away and probably not available for normal fixit jobs. Music from Sunny and family has been such a wonderful part of my life for so long, I sort of forget that they're really normal folks. There are very few things that I can't fix if she has a need. Let her know about my offer, Thanks, Dan
